Silence 4 Reunites for 30th Anniversary Concerts in Portugal

by time news

The Silence 4 will reunite next year to celebrate 30 years of their career, with two performances at home, at the Teatro José Lúcio da Silva in Leiria, on June 13 and 14, and at the end of 2025: at the Super Bock Arena in Porto on November 15, and at the Meo Arena in Lisbon on December 13.

The band from Leiria held a mini-concert today in the city center, during a special broadcast by Rádio Comercial, commemorating the International Music Day.

Tickets are already on sale for the concerts in Lisbon and Porto. For the shows in Leiria, tickets will be available starting January 1, 2025, through the Teatro José Lúcio da Silva.

During the broadcast, David Fonseca explained that the Leiria group decided to come together in 2025 “to do great concerts and to showcase this date, 30 years,” in performances that will tell “how it all started and how we are now.”

“We decided to bring the whole band together and throw a big party and play live in 2025,” he added, assuring that when the four meet again “it feels like we never stopped playing, it feels like we have always played together.”

“It has to do with the fact that we created these songs when we were very young, and it’s like riding a bike,” joked David Fonseca, admitting a special feeling about playing in the center of Leiria with a view of the castle, “which is where we recorded our first demo,” the famous “yellow cassette.”
