Launching the Open Employment Day initiative at the University of Tripoli

As part of its efforts to find effective solutions to provide job opportunities outside the government cadre, the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, in the Government of National Unity, launched the Open Employment Day initiative at the College of Engineering at the University of Tripoli.

According to the Ministry of Labor, “The initiative aims to encourage the national and foreign private sectors to employ national workers, with a focus on job seekers and those about to graduate.”

“This initiative is the first of its kind, and is scheduled to include engineering colleges in other Libyan cities, which will contribute to providing employment opportunities for students wishing to enter the labor market. The initiative also aims to provide practical training within specialized national and foreign companies.”

According to the ministry, “National and foreign companies participated in the open day and expressed their willingness to employ national cadres.”

The event was attended by the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Engineer Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, the Minister of Oil and Gas, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Marine Wealth, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth, the Head of the Customs Authority, the President of the University of Tripoli, the Director of the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises, the Director of the Follow-up Department in the Cabinet Office, and the official spokesman for the government. National unity.

“This step comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation to support the national economy and enhance job opportunities in the private sector. The Ministry also seeks, through this initiative, to enhance cooperation between government agencies and the private sector, and to create a sustainable work environment that contributes to reducing unemployment rates.”

“This event is supported by the Ministry’s Financial Facilities Fund and Human Resources Development Fund, which enhances financing and training opportunities for national workers, and the Credit Guarantee Fund.” ‏
