The BDH Paras encouragement event held at Aloft Seoul Myeongdong, hosted by the BDH Foundation, was attended by about 40 people, including BDH Foundation Chairman Bae Dong-hyun, the BDH Paras players and their families, and key figures related to the BDH Foundation.
Chairman Dong-Hyeon Bae said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the BDH Paras team who gave their best until the end for this Paris Paralympic Games and to the athletes’ families who provided great support to our team.” He added, “We will continue to support the development of sports for the disabled and the dreams of athletes.” “I will work hard to do it,” he said.
On this day, Chairman Bae Dong-hyun gave 100 million won and 30 million won to Jo Jeong-doo and Kim Jeong-nam, who won prizes at the Paris Paralympic Games, and 100 million won and 25 million won to coach Jang Seong-won and trainer Jang Jae-won, who coached the winning athletes. A reward was awarded to each.
In addition, Chairman Bae Dong-hyeon received a total of 296 votes in the IPC (International Paralympic Committee) athlete member election conducted for athletes who participated in the Paris Paralympic Games from August 26 to September 5, making him the first BDH Para member in Korea to be elected to an elected position. He delivered a special gift to Won Won-min, and asked him to do his best on behalf of disabled athletes around the world.
In addition, Kim Yun-ji, a national disabled Nordic skiing team member who recently joined BDH Paras, attended the encouragement event, adding meaning. Chairman Bae Dong-hyun welcomed Kim Yun-ji, who became a new member of the BDH Paras family, and directly introduced him to the entire team, and announced that he would continue to actively support all players in the team so that they can live in a happy environment.
Meanwhile, the global disabled sports team ‘BDH Paras’ was founded by Bae Dong-hyun, chairman of the BDH Foundation, to ensure balanced development of disabled sports around the world and a happy life for athletes.
