Inaugurated by the governor of the province of Tinghir, Hassan Zitouni, this social structure was created by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), as part of its program 4 “Impulse of Human Capital of Rising Generations”, notably its component relating to the strengthening of the maternal and child health system.
This project was carried out over an area of 2,000 m2, including 350 m2 covered, with an overall investment of 3,676,037 Dirhams, including 400,000 Dirhams for equipment.
The Assoul Maternity House has, among other things, around ten rooms for welcoming beneficiaries, a treatment room, a pharmacy, a refectory, a kitchen, a meeting and training room as well as a room waiting.
At the same time, construction projects for three maternity homes were presented in the territorial communes of Alnif, Kelâat M’gouna and Ighil N’Oumgoun, which are being implemented by the INDH. , thanks to respective budgets of 1,189,869, 1,189,149 and 1,135,010 Dirhams.
These projects are carried out as part of the efforts led by the National Initiative for Human Development to open up rural areas and promote maternal and child health.
Maternity centers are social establishments with an important role in promoting the situation of rural women and improving indicators relating to the health of mothers and children.
Created by the INDH, these medico-social establishments offer local health services for the benefit of pregnant women from mountainous and remote areas of the different territorial communes of the Kingdom.
