It has been 2 years since 5G arrived in India. The historic day of October 1, 2022, will always be remembered when 5G was launched in the country. So what has changed for India in these two years? Here we will not focus on the economic progress of India in these two years, rather we will see how much the mobile download speed has increased. In September 2022, India was ranked 119th in the world Speedtest ranking, which was released by Ookla. But in August 2024, India dropped to 20th in the same list. In fact, India was ranked 15th in April 2024. So it is clear that the speed of 5G has put India on the map of global high-speed broadband access. Not only this, the introduction of 5G has also enabled the rollout of 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) services. FWA is great for areas where fixed-line broadband cannot be provided due to fiber deployment issues.
