Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari, the popular Islamic negotiator of Bangladesh, who is staying in Malaysia, has returned home. On Wednesday (October 2), he himself gave this information in a message on his verified Facebook page.

In a Facebook post, he wrote, Alhamdulillah, I reached my dear motherland in Salaam. Most Merciful bless this return. Two submissions.

Mizanur Rahman Azhari left Malaysia in February 2020 due to some surrounding reasons. Since then he was staying there. Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari expressed the hope of returning to the country on August 6 after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government.

In that video message on his verified Facebook page, he said, many people have messaged me and called me personally asking when I will return to the country. I want to tell them, I will return home soon. I myself am waiting to meet you. I would like to meet you soon in Bangladesh, a free and equal society of humanity.

In a long video message, he said, I respectfully remember the martyrs who made the movement successful through fresh blood and seek forgiveness for their souls. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Salute to those who are leading and still struggling in the anti-discrimination movement.

He urged everyone to be aware of the situation that has developed in the country after the successful movement. He said that victory can be properly celebrated only if one behaves responsibly.

He also urged not to do injustice to minorities. He said that now many will take the opportunity to drive the minorities into places of worship and establishments and try to put the blame on Islamists and madrassa students. So everyone should be alert to foil the conspiracy of those who are not happy with this victory.

He said to the Madrasa students in particular, you must ensure the safety of the minorities. Be careful and aware that no one can attack them. If we make mistakes in these areas, Islam in Bangladesh will fall far behind.

Bringing up the fall of the recently deposed dictatorial government, he said, in the pride of power, we forget our true condition and behave with people. But recent events have shown us that no tyranny lasts long, so we must learn from these events. He said that those who will come to the new government should also remember this and learn. They should also avoid torture.
