The Baku Youth Center hosted a presentation of the documentary film “Angels of War” (Müharibə mələkləri), dedicated to the hero doctors of the 44-day Patriotic War, Day.Az reports.

The event was attended by doctors who participated in the Karabakh war, families of martyrs, veterans, and artists. At the opening, a minute of silence was held to honor the blessed memory of the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of the Motherland, and the Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.

The creative team spoke about the filming of the film. The author of the idea of ​​the film is Alish Mehdi, the director and scriptwriter is Amil Ali.

In the 44-day Patriotic War, 44 medical workers died heroically – 11 doctors, 7 paramedics and 26 medical instructors, and 159 military medical workers were wounded. Doctors fought for the lives of wounded soldiers and officers, carried them out of the battlefield under heavy fire, risking their own lives, and provided assistance to them in the most difficult conditions. For thousands of soldiers, they truly became savior angels.

The film was highly appreciated by the audience; Honored Artist, film expert Aydin Kazimzade and other honored guests shared their impressions of the film.
