Five ethnic municipalities were established in Dunakeszin: the Bulgarian, Polish, German, Roma and Ukrainian nationalities elected representatives.

Dr. Lajos Pál recorded as a fact that the election campaign took place in a very calm atmosphere. Although the election commission made more than a hundred decisions, the majority of them dealt with electoral procedural problems, but did not substantially affect the integrity of the election.

He thanked the members of the election committee, the staff of the election office managed by the clerk, and those working in the vote counting committees for their professional and high-quality work.

Csaba Dióssi is starting his fourth municipal term as mayor

After taking the oath, Csaba Dióssi, who started his fourth municipal term as mayor, spoke about how he must live up to the enormous trust he received from the voters with his future work. The voters handed over the possibility and responsibility of the decision to the mayor and the members of the representative body, which is a huge honor and responsibility for all of them.

He recalled the cooperation agreement adopted by the representative body established in 2010, which was a guarantee – regardless of party affiliation – of effective and successful work for the city. He spoke with confidence about the future, since five of the representative body at that time are still members of the body today, together with the ten members of the representative body of the municipality, which will be operating from 2019, received the trust of the voters from the voters, which offers a good chance to continue to be successful and effective. the municipality should be able to carry out its activities with the interests of the population in mind.

– I wish to all my fellow elected representatives that in the next cycle we can also do such work in cooperation with you and the population, so that at the end of the municipal cycle we can stand in the same good mood before the next election, so that we can say that we have done everything on our part. The representative body elected two deputy mayors

At the ceremonial inaugural meeting held at the Attila József Cultural Center, after the swearing-in of the representatives and the mayor, two deputy mayors of the municipality were elected by secret ballot at the suggestion of mayor Csaba Dióssi.

Full-time deputy mayor Dávid Sipos, general deputy of the mayor, won the support of the representative body with 12 yes votes and 3 abstentions.

Deputy Mayor Márton Nyíri responsible for environmental protection matters – he will keep his full-time job as a teacher – won the support of the representative body with 12 yes votes and 3 abstentions.

The two deputy mayors Dr. Spiegelhalter took the oath in front of the clerk, Renáta Spiegelhalter, and after that – after voting on several items on the agenda – the financial and legal committee was elected, chaired by Ferenc Bilinszky, members: Tamás Hircz, Ádám Juhász, Márton Juhos, Krisztián Pethő.

Attila Csoma was appointed councilor for our Care for the Elderly, József Seltenreich became councilor for family affairs, József Szabó councilor for church affairs, Tamás Benkő was assigned to perform the tasks of councilor for sports and youth protection, Csilla Cseresznyés works as health councilor.

The representative body established the status of municipal commissioner responsible for external relations, which is held by Zoltán Kárpáti.

After the ceremonial inaugural meeting of the representative body – which was framed by the joint singing of the National Anthem and the Speech and the beautiful recitation of the actress Annamária Babják – the representatives, senior staff of the mayor’s office, representatives of the institutions, and the invited guests toasted the further development of Dunakeszi.
