Within the framework of strengthening security cooperation between Libya and Turkey, and based on the instructions of the Minister of Interior in charge of the National Unity Government, Major General Imad Trabelsi, a memorandum of understanding was signed today, Wednesday, between the Libyan and Turkish Ministries of Interior in the field of security training.
According to what the Ministry of Interior published, “The memorandum was signed on the Libyan side by Major General Mahmoud Ashour, head of the Criminal Investigation Service, and on the Turkish side by the representative of the Turkish Ministry of Interior.”
According to the Ministry’s statement, “This memorandum comes within the efforts to develop the security capabilities of members of the Criminal Investigation Service by organizing advanced training programs that include several areas, most notably the training of specialized teams using “trace dogs.” This cooperation also aims to improve security performance and enhance technical capabilities to combat… Crime and traces using the latest technologies.”
The Ministry of the Interior of the Government of National Unity confirmed, “This step comes within an integrated strategy to develop human resources in the security services, in line with international standards and contributes to enhancing security and stability in the country.”
