Injured national team striker Son Heung-min (32, Tottenham) will not participate in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) match following the regular season.
Tottenham will play the second game of the 2024-25 UEL League Phase against Ferencvaros (Hungary) at 1:45 a.m. on the 4th (Korean time).
Anger Postekoglou, who leads Tottenham, said at a pre-press conference held in Budapest, Hungary on the 2nd, “Son Heung-min is not with this expedition and is in London to recover. Instead, we will mainly feature other young players in away games,” he explained.
Tottenham’s captain Son Heung-min was substituted at the end of the UEL first leg against Karabakh (Azerbaijan) on the 26th of last month, complaining of thigh pain.

When the list was announced, coach Hong Myung-bo said, “I communicated with him directly, and he said he was ‘making an improvement.’” After explaining the reason for selection, he added, “The most important thing is the player.
