Shin Fujiyama’s Journey in Guatemala: Building Schools for Honduran Children

YouTube personality Shin Fujiyama embarked on a grueling challenge: to run 3,000 kilometers from the US-Guatemala border to San Pedro Sula in Guatemala. His goal? To raise funds and build ten schools in Honduras.
The Guatemalan Leg of the Journey
After traversing parts of Mexico, Shin Fujiyama arrived in Guatemala in September 2024. Despite the physical demands, he has been greeted with warm support from Guatemalans. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and generosity he has received.
His first day in the country was particularly challenging, but with the encouragement of Guatemalans of all ages, he persevered.
The Route and its Significance
Shin Fujiyama’s journey in Guatemala covers 370 kilometers, with an average daily distance of 42 kilometers. He encourages anyone in Guatemala to join him on his path.
A Mission Beyond Physical Limits
This challenge is more than just physical exertion. Inspired by the desperate learning conditions of Honduran children, Shin Fujiyama aims to address the lack of adequate educational facilities.
