by time news
Sport Nigeria LTD/GTE is pleased to announce the first edition of the Africa Sports Investment Summit (Sports Africa Investment Summit, SAIS) to be held on 19-20 November 2024 at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Since the official announcement of the event on August 19, 2024, enthusiasm has continued to grow. Welcoming participants from around the world, SAIS aims to be a catalyst to stimulate sustainable investment in the African sport ecosystem, with a view to in turn generating economic growth, social development and cross-sector collaboration.

While the sports industry on the continent constitutes a significant driver for achieving sustainable development, the United Nations 2030 Agenda also highlights the potential of sport to achieve seven of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including empowerment, health, education and social inclusion.

The SAIS 2024 Summit will enable global stakeholders to explore existing avenues to transform this potential into a clear and concrete reality. Key areas such as industrialization of sport, community impact, women’s participation and regulatory reforms will be addressed to identify new opportunities focused on sustainable development.
