TV Globo is promoting today, Thursday (3), starting at 10pm, the last debate between the candidates for mayor of São Paulo (SP) before voting in the first round, which will take place three days later, on Sunday (6). Mediated by the journalist César Tralli, the event shows the participation of the candidates José Luiz Datena (PSDB), Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), Pablo Marçal (PRTB), Ricardo Nunes (MDB) and Tabata Amaral (PSB). The debate will be broadcast live on TV Globo, GloboNews and G1, right after the soap opera ‘Mania de Você’.

When will the debate between the São Paulo candidates take place?
The 11th debate with the candidates for mayor of the capital of São Paulo best in the polls will be held on October 3rd and will be broadcast live by the broadcaster directly from the studios at the Globo headquarters in São Paulo. It will be possible to watch on the open channel TV Globo, on GloboNews and online on Globoplay and G1.

Face to face, the names chosen for the event comply with the following rules: be part of parties represented by at least five parliamentarians in the National Congress, and have achieved at least 6% of the voting intentions in the latest Quaest survey, released on 30 September. In addition, candidates cannot be blocked in court, be it electoral or popular.
Live debate: where to watch online?
In addition to being broadcast on TV Globo and GloboNews, the debate will be broadcast online on Globoplay and G1 from 10pm.
What are the rules of discussion?
Without an audience, the candidates will discuss side by side in the studio for four blocks: the first and third with free themes. Previously drawn, the candidate will choose to whom his question will be, among those who have not yet answered in that block. In these two blocks (first and third) applicants must ask a question and answer a question. The second and fourth blocks will be covered with materials drawn by the mediator and journalist César Tralli in a ballot box.

Each candidate will have 40 seconds to ask the questions, 1 minute and 40 seconds for the answer, 1 minute and 15 seconds for the reply and 1 minute for the appeal. The times can be changed, more or less, before or during the debate, at Globo’s sole discretion. At the end of the fourth block, each candidate will have 2 minutes to make their final considerations.
At the end of the debate, the candidates will be invited to the press room, where they will participate in a press conference lasting five minutes each. Tabata Amaral (PSB) is the first interviewee, followed by Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), Datena (PSDB), Ricardo Nunes (MDB) and, finally, Pablo Marçal (PRTB). The order of the interviews was defined by drawing lots, in the presence of representatives of the parties.
