The International Film Academy (AIC) opens the call 13th Film Festival of Cinematographic Works. The competitive exhibition of films produced by Filmworks students also allows productions from free cinema, cinema and documentary courses (online and in-person courses) to register in their respective categories. Registration can be done through the platform Freeway Movies until September 30, 2024.
The Festival
This year the festival takes place 13 and 14 Decemberin Sao Paulo, IN Museum of Image and Sound (MIS)on Fridays from 4.30pm to 9.30pm and on Saturdays from 10.30am to 9.00pm – program subject to change.
The objective of the Festival is to promote, encourage and encourage reflections on the short film format, seeking to improve exchanges between productions and the public, as well as bringing school students closer to the reality of film festivals.
Important dates for you, the student, so you don’t miss any deadlines
- Registration takes place from From 4 to 30 September
- The day We will publish the result on October 21st of those selected on the AIC website and on other platforms.
- And until 11.59pm onwards October 31st you need to deliver the finished film.

The 13th FWFF awards will feature the following categories:
Free courses
a) Free short film (free cinema, film production)
b) Best documentary (free documentary)
For Filmworks only
a) New Vision/Novo Olhar – Filmworks 1 only
b) Screenplay (Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
c) Management (Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
d) Photographic direction (Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
e) Artistic direction (Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
f) Modification (Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
g) Som(Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
h) Acting (Protagonist – AIC Student Interpreting Courses)
i) Acting (Support actors – AIC Student Interpreting Courses)
j) Best Film (Filmworks 2, 3, 4)
Important notes
Only films produced in Filmworks Module I up to 5 minutes will compete in the New Vision/Novo Olhar category.
Films produced in the courses Cinema And Film production compete in the Free Short Film category and the films produced in the Documentary courses compete in the Best Documentary category.
Films in the Best Free Short Film and Best Documentary categories do not compete in the other categories.
With the exception of the Popular Jury category, the winners will be chosen by a jury appointed by the academic coordination and teachers of the AIC.
The prizes will be awarded exclusively to AIC students or former students. Prizes cannot be transferred to third parties. Course students compete in the Best Leading and Supporting Performance categories Acting Technician for Film and TV (TAC) and free courses Interpretation yes, AIC.
