I’m 41,500 new covid infections in Italy today, Thursday 3 March, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also another 185 deaths. 431,312 swabs were carried out, for a positivity rate of 9.6%. Hospitalizations are decreasing: there are a total of 9,599 hospitalized patients (-355 compared to yesterday) while those hospitalized in intensive care are 654 (-27) with 52 admissions that day. In total there are 155,399 victims. The currently positive are 1,041,462.
HERE ARE THE DATA AND COVID NUMBERS OF THE REGIONS:
LOMBARDY – There are 4,386 new Covid infections and 35 deaths registered today in Lombardy, according to the bulletin released by the Region. 67,160 swabs were performed, with a positive index of 6.5%. 951 people (-29) are hospitalized in hospitals and 90 (-8) in intensive care.
In the province of Milan, the new positives are 1,420, of which 645 in the city of Milan. In Bergamo 297, Brescia 521, Como 249, Cremona 179, Lecco 111, Lodi 59, Mantova 244, Monza and Brianza 347, Pavia 267, Sondrio 72 and Varese 415.

VENETO – There are 3,918 new coronavirus infections today 3 March in Veneto, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 12 deaths. The total number of patients since the beginning of the epidemic rises to 1,341,406, that of victims to 13,864. The bulletin of the Region reports it. Hospital admissions are down: -29 patients currently positive in the non-critical area and -5 patients currently positive in intensive care. Ten deaths occurred in acute care hospitals and two in community hospitals. The current positives are 51,229.
PIEDMONT – There are 1,780 new covid infections in Piedmont according to today’s bulletin, 3 March. There are also another 7 deaths. New cases are equal to 6.4% of 27,935 swabs performed, of which 23,165 antigenic. The total of positive cases becomes 987.791, of which 81.766 Alessandria, 45.319 Asti, 38.276 Biella, 131.910 Cuneo, 74.805 Novara, 525.166 Turin, 35.075 Vercelli, 35.389 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 4.848 residents outside the region but in charge of health facilities Piedmontese. CALABRIA – There are 1,805 new covid infections in Calabria according to today’s bulletin, March 3. There are also 4 other deaths. 10,698 swabs performed, +1,695 healed. There are 2,110 total deaths. The bulletin also records +106 currently positive, -5 hospitalizations (for a total of 272) and, finally, stable intensive care (for a total of 17).
SARDINIA – There are 1,305 new infections from Coronavirus today, March 3, 2022 in Sardinia, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 9 deaths on the island. In the last 24 hours, 10,143 swabs, both molecular and antigenic, were processed. There are 26 patients admitted to intensive care units, 3 fewer since yesterday. The patients admitted to the medical area are 321, 4 less than yesterday. In isolation at home 25,958 people.
TUSCANY – There are 2,879 new coronavirus infections today March 3 in Tuscany, according to the data of the latest covid-19 bulletin. Another 14 deaths are recorded. The new cases, 994 confirmed with molecular swab and 1,885 by rapid antigen test, bring the total to 864,234 since the beginning of the health emergency and are 0.3% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.5% and reach 829,124 (95.9% of total cases).
Today 7,571 molecular swabs and 19,624 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 10.6% were positive. On the other hand, 5,840 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 49.3% were positive. The current positives are today 26,028, -4% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 796 (30 less than yesterday), of which 53 in intensive care (2 less). There are 14 new deaths: 8 men and 6 women with an average age of 79.5 years (2 in Florence, 1 in Prato, 1 in Massa Carrara, 3 in Pisa, 3 in Livorno, 1 in Siena, 2 in Grosseto , 1 outside Tuscany).
PUGLIA – There are 3,696 new coronavirus infections today 3 March in Puglia, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. There are another 9 deaths. The new cases, identified through 27,636 daily swabs, are divided as follows by province: Bari: 923; Bat: 285; Brindisi: 323; Foggia: 540; Lecce: 1,170; Taranto: 419; Residents outside the region: 22; Province in definition: 14. There are 75,505 people currently positive, 580 hospitalized in a non-critical area, 35 in intensive care. Overall data: 745,543 total cases, 8,815,784 swabs performed, 662,339, people recovered and 7,699 deaths.
BASILICATA – There are 535 new infections from Coronavirus today, March 3, 2022 in Basilicata, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday there have been 5 deaths: the victims were residents of Castronuovo Sant’Andrea, Montescaglioso, Policoro, Pignola and Picerno. In the last 24 hours, 2,939 swabs, including molecular and antigenic ones, were processed. 430 people have been healed since yesterday. There are 94 hospitalized for Covid-19, 2 fewer than yesterday, of which 3 in intensive care. The current positives residing in Basilicata are about 19,600.
For the vaccination, 884 administrations were made yesterday. So far 467,289 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine, 437,838 have received the second, while the third doses have been 339,826.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 607 new infections from Coronavirus today, 3 March 2022 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 5 deaths since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 4,078 molecular swabs and 7,446 rapid antigenic tests were processed. There are 16 people admitted to intensive care, while patients hospitalized in other departments drop to 180.
The totally healed are 287,170, the clinically healed 198, while the people in isolation drop to 17,707. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 310,064 people have been positive.
