Italian company “Industrial Electronic Design and Automation” (CEIA)with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is preparing to launch a new project for demining Karabakh.
As Day.Az reports, a specialist in applied technologies at CEIA told Trend about this on Wednesday. Maurizio Mascarino within V anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX 2024which takes place at the Baku Expo Center.
“We are pleased to support the demining of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. As part of the project, a women’s non-governmental organization in Azerbaijan will receive our metal detectors to search for and remove mines in Karabakh,” he noted.
Maurizio Mascarino stressed that the project, implemented through the Italian Campaign against Mine Association (Campagna Italiana contro le mine), received funding from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will soon be officially presented by the Italian Embassy in Baku.
“Our mine detectors are sold all over the world, including in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Republic Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) uses our metal detectors, as do some private companies that operate in Karabakh,” he added.
Let us remind you that on September 24-26, the Baku Expo Center is hosting the 5th anniversary of the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX – the largest event dedicated to the defense industry in the region. At the same time, the 14th International Exhibition of Equipment for Internal Security, Security and Rescue, Securex Caspian, was organized.
The first exhibition “ADEX” was organized in 2014. The list of participants and the sectors it covers are expanding from year to year.
Over 10 years of successful activity, the exhibition has brought together many companies representing more than 50 countries and about 200 official delegations. Over the years, the exhibition was visited by more than 30,000 guests.
