Former Australian batsman Rod Marsh has died. He is 74 years old.

Rod Marsh played 96 Tests and 92 ODIs for Australia from 1970 to 1984. Marsh, who lives in Queensland, had a heart attack a few days ago. Thus Adelaide was brought in for treatment. In this condition the treatment was ineffective and he passed away.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rod Marsh holds the record for most wicket-keeping dismissals (355) in Test cricket at retirement. Marsh, a left-handed batsman, became the first Australian wicket-keeper to score a century in Test cricket in 1972.

He also proved his mettle in cricket management. He was the President of the Cricket Academies of England and Australia. He also served as cricket commentator and chairman of Cricket Australia’s selection committee.

Many cricket celebrities have mourned the death of Rod Marsh.
