Linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) and tight end George Kittle (ribs), two of San Francisco’s biggest playmakers on their respective sides of the ball, are active for the team’s Week 5 matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. The pair of veterans both suffered injuries in the team’s 30-13 victory over the New England Patriots and entered the weekend as questionable after missing two days of practices. However, both were able to rejoin the team in time for their final workout of the week.
The 49ers’ other area of concern was along the interior portion of the defensive line. On Saturday, Yetur Gross-Matos, who plays on both the inside and edge of the line, was placed on the Injured Reserve list, but the team was able to partially combat the loss by activating defensive tackle Kalia Davis from the same list. Additionally, Kevin Givens and Jordan Elliott were given the green light to play on Sunday afternoon, providing additional depth in the middle of the line.
