According to a press release from the social action division of the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture, this caravan was intended for people in precarious situations in the Tamri commune, as part of the efforts deployed by the INDH for the benefit of this category.

This regional medical caravan targeted some 1,415 people who benefited from consultations and medical analyses, while 146 other individuals underwent surgical operations in the same context.

This initiative takes place within the framework of the project relating to the acquisition of mobile medical units for the organization of regional medical caravans, as part of the INDH’s Program to combat precariousness.

It was the subject of a partnership agreement signed in particular between the human development committees of the prefectures and provinces of the region, the Council of the Souss-Massa region, the National Agency for the development of oasis zones and the argan tree (Andzoa), the Provincial Councils of the region and the regional directorate of Health and Social Protection.

The same source recalled that this regional project, which mobilizes a total budget of 37 million Dirhams, involved the acquisition of several medical units, notably ophthalmology, radiology, surgery and dentistry at the level of the region of Souss Massa.
