International newspapers have reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Selensky has easily escaped three assassination attempts by Russian troops.
Russia’s attack on Ukraine continues for 9 days. The Russian military is targeting major cities in Ukraine. Thus those cities have crumbled. The Ukrainian government says thousands of civilians have been killed in the attack. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian military continues to thwart Russia’s attempt to seize the capital, Kiev. Due to the heavy retaliation of Ukrainian troops, Russian troops were unable to enter the capital. The civilians, along with the military, have been fighting against the Russian military.
Meanwhile, Russian special forces have reportedly made three assassination attempts on Ukrainian President Vladimir Selensky. According to the Washington Post in the United States:
Russia’s intelligence service has sent special intelligence to some of Wagner’s paramilitary forces to assassinate the Ukrainian president. This information was passed on to the Ukrainian government by some Russian military officials. Thus, the security provided to the President of Ukraine was doubled. Similarly, his accommodation was immediately changed. Unaware of this, Wagner’s troops stormed the Ukrainian president’s secret building in Kiev last Saturday. The Ukrainian army, waiting for this, shot them all down.
Similarly, some members of Russia’s Chechen army, a rebel organization, were sent to the capital, Kiev, last week to assassinate the Ukrainian president. They have come through a secret route to assassinate the President of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military was notified of their arrival, and they too were easily identified and killed by Ukrainian special forces. According to the magazine, Ukrainian President Selensky has escaped three assassination attempts.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Selensky had said that he and his family were the first target of the Russian military. It is noteworthy that Selensky, who refused to accept the US offer to rescue him, said he would fight the Russian army until his last breath.
