October 5, the day established by UNESCO as <a href="https://time.news/i-thank-the-teachers-from-all-over-pakistan-shehbaz-sharif/” title=”I thank the teachers from all over Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif”>World Teachers’ Day, is another opportunity to realize, recognize and highlight their catalytic role, not only in the school but also in the wider social sphere.
It is extremely important, especially in today’s dystopian reality for school and education in general, to emphasize the important role of teachers, not only for their valuable contribution to the teaching and learning process but mainly as educators , carriers and multipliers of humanitarian principles, ideas and values.
It is clear that the State has an obligation to stand by their side, strengthening their mission morally and materially, to invest with confidence and generosity so that they can be supported at all levels of their operation.
But it is the duty of all of us, of society as a whole, to stand with trust, cooperation and solidarity next to them, in the daily effort for better citizens in the future and for a better society tomorrow.
