Initiated by the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), the Morocco Pavilion was an opportunity for the Agency to exhibit, under the banner of the investment and export brand “Morocco Now “, the Kingdom’s assets and opportunities in terms of investment in the professions of the future.
During the visit to the Morocco Pavilion, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, who is currently leading an economic Roadshow in Germany, welcomed the participation of Morocco at the Hannover Messe, one of the most important fairs in the world, which presents the latest advances in the fields of industry, digital technology, renewable energies and electric mobility.
“Our presence aims to promote Morocco, its vision under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and its major initiatives, particularly in the sectors of electric mobility and renewable energies, by highlighting our commitment to hydrogen”, argued the minister.
The general director of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), Ali Seddiki, was also delighted that this major global event in the field of industry, which brings together nearly 200 industrial sectors, could thus welcome Morocco.
And added: “Morocco could not miss this high mass which is essential to promote the industrial investment opportunities that it offers in various professions, in particular sustainable development and renewable energies, including green hydrogen “.
In this regard, Mr. Seddiki explained that Morocco, thanks to the Royal vision, sets great ambitions in decarbonization, industrial investment and the development of the green hydrogen sector.
He also indicated that the Kingdom is responding to global demand for decarbonization and is currently positioning itself as a very attractive destination for investors wishing to contribute to this objective on a global scale through investments in the country.
On the other hand, to support Moroccan companies in exporting, AMDIE works to facilitate their access to such events in order to allow them to exhibit their products, their know-how and to facilitate meetings with international contractors, said Mr. Seddiki.
The pavilion houses Moroccan companies, which are represented alongside AMDIE members to highlight Morocco’s economic landscape to foreign visitors. The New Investment Charter, printed in several languages, is available to visitors, accompanied by a QR Code system allowing access to other resources to better understand the Moroccan economy.
After visiting the Morocco pavilion, Mr. Jazouli was welcomed by the senior vice-president of Deutsche Messe, Annika Klar, before carrying out a series of meetings with representatives of multinational industrial companies such as electrical technology specialists , electronics and industrial automation, Phoenix Contact, Siemens, Dassault Systèmes, Rittal and Bosch Rexroth.
Closing the work of the second day of this Moroccan Roadshow in Germany, the minister held a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of the Economy and Climate, Robert Habeck.
During these bilateral discussions, the two ministers focused on the means of materializing the strong complementarity of the Moroccan and German economies through joint projects, particularly in green energy and electric mobility.
After Spain at the end of January, the 2024 tour to promote the Morocco destination to foreign investors and clients continues in Germany as part of a Roadshow from April 22 to 25.
Organized by AMDIE, in partnership with the Moroccan Embassy in Germany, this Roadshow takes place in a particular context marked by the launch of the “Morocco Offer”, and the concretization of several strategic investment agreements in the sector of electric batteries aimed at the emergence of a national green automotive ecosystem, which could be consolidated with leading German operators.
