The location of the Cosmos Festival is Changneungcheon Gangmaeseokgyo Park, located on Gangmaeseokgyo Bridge, the oldest stone bridge in Goyang City, built in 1920.

At the opening ceremony held at the central square at 3 p.m. on the 12th, a performance will be held with primary-colored handkerchiefs containing a congratulatory message for the Cosmos Festival, which celebrates a space of memories and romance. Prior to the opening ceremony, the Goyang Special City Taekwondo Demonstration Team announces the start of the festival with powerful kicks.

This year’s Cosmos Festival is set in a cosmos flower field and offers a variety of retro programs so that families, moms, dads, and children can reminisce about the 70s and 80s together. There is a corner where you can try out 7080 retro costumes, and you can take memorable black and white photos taken by professional photographers throughout the festival site.

As a festival held on Goyang City’s representative river, Changneung Stream, the operating booth will give out plogging kits to 20 people per day on a first-come, first-served basis to participate in environmental cleanup along the cosmos flower field.

On both sides of the central square, cosmos flower fields in a combination of orange and pink are spread out widely. At the central square, experience programs and traditional games will be held from 12 PM to 5 PM on the 12th and 13th. On a stage surrounded by cosmos, a DJ talk show will be held where the DJ will tell stories received from the scene along with music with a 7080 retro atmosphere. You can sit in the shaded stage bleachers and enjoy the autumn breeze, as well as gentle folk songs and music played by an acoustic band.

Visitors using a car during the festival can park in the free parking lot next to Gangmae Seokgyo Park (652-2, Gangmae-dong). By public transportation, take bus 030 from Hwajeong Station or Haengsin Station and get off at Ganggosan Station. It takes about 5 minutes on foot. If you walk along Haengjunuri-gil from Gangmae Station, it takes about 30 minutes.
