In the presentation, Al-Masalati and Najat discussed the most important aspects of developing teachers’ capabilities to keep pace with future changes, and highlighted the points that would make the teaching profession more attractive to current teachers and future generations. She stressed that improving the conditions of teachers and providing them with a stimulating environment are among the most important priorities. To ensure the continuity of the quality of education.”
Al-Masalati concluded her presentation with several important messages addressed to decision-makers, “which included a call for the necessity of training and developing teachers’ skills on a regular and continuous basis, and establishing an accurate mechanism for selecting new teachers.”
She stressed the importance of “strengthening the infrastructure of schools and providing a suitable environment for teachers inside the classroom and around the school. She also pointed out the importance of enhancing the participation of teachers in setting educational policies, because of their field experience that contributes to developing the educational process in a way that suits the needs of students and society.”
Al-Masalati also presented a proposal “to form a global team to support teachers in poor countries and in emergency situations, similar to the Red Crescent team, with the aim of providing the necessary support to teachers in difficult circumstances.”
