During a Los Angeles court hearing, the 54-year-old doctor revealed that he was the one who gave large amounts of the drug to Salvador Plasencia, the doctor who attended to the famous interpreter of Friends prior to his death.

The autopsia de Matthew Perry concluded that the interpreter died in October 2023 due to the “acute effects of ketamine”, a powerful sedative.
However, a new precedent was added to this case, since the doctor Mark Chavez, one of the five accused for the tragic death of the actor, admitted the charges to the authorities.
As stated CNNthe doctor confessed to having conspired to distribute ketamine to Perry through fraudulent prescriptions, collaborating with the Dr. Salvador Plasencia.
During the hearing, Chavez formalized his plea agreement, giving up his medical license. With this, he faces a sentence of up to ten years in prison, with a sentencing hearing that was scheduled for next April 2, 2025.
Plasencia and Chavez are joined by other defendants, such as Perry’s personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasaan acquaintance of the performer behind Chandler, Eric Flemingand the drug trafficker Jasveen Sangha.
