A presentation of an amazing project took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku “Opera and fashion. 7 beauties”in which the brand “SULTAN COUTURE&Co” harmoniously conveyed the idea of the unity of two leading art directions – music and fashion, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend.
Opera and fashion have always been closely related to each other. Opera outfits have always penetrated the world of fashion, and vice versa, fashion trends have penetrated the opera stage. And this evening, on the stage of “Opera and Fashion. 7 Beauties”, in the performance of fashion designer Orhan Sultan, the ornaments of the Azerbaijani kelagai and elements of national costumes were combined in modern evening dresses. In the concert program, opera divas, performing works of Azerbaijani and world classics, changed their images, appearing on stage in unique and original evening dresses created by Orhan Sultan based on the national costumes of Azerbaijan, decorated with jewelry from the famous brand LEO PIZZO. In the foyer of the Heydar Aliyev Center, spectators could enjoy an exhibition of various outfits from “SULTAN COUTURE”.
The concert repertoire consisted of a synthesis of arias from Azerbaijani operas, operettas, romances and duets with world works. Among the famous soloists invited from the world’s leading operas and performing at the largest musical venues are the soloist of the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Anastasia Chernovolos, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, guest soloist of the Moscow Musical Theater “Helikon-Opera” Elnara Mamedova, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan , conqueror of the Italian stage Afag Abbasova, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Zhalya Ismailova, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, guest soloist of the St. Petersburg State Academic Mariinsky Theater and the Italian Opera House “La Scala” Shirin Mamatova, laureate of international competitions Yana Melikaeva, soloist of the St. Petersburg State Academic Mariinsky Theater Yulia Suleymanova. Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Ramil Gasimov performed as an invited guest.
The performance of the artists was accompanied by the Karabakh Symphony Orchestra under the direction of laureate of international competitions, conductor Orkhan Gashimov.
The concert program ended with the joint performance by the artists of the eternal song “Azerbaijan” by Muslim Magomayev and the legendary “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi. The evening passed with applause from the audience. The artists shared their impressions.
Yana Melikaeva: “I am happy to take part in a magical concert, incredible emotions! I performed the Azerbaijani aria “Dilbyar” for the first time. The most beautiful music and melodic language. The stage of the Heydar Aliyev Center is especially significant for me, where I would like to perform constantly. I hope the audience also received the brightest emotions”.
Anastasia Chernovolos: “I am happy to come to Baku again, to one of my favorite cities, and to perform on the stunning stage of the Heydar Aliyev Center. Today we have created a great holiday for lovers of opera and fashion, which will long remain in the memory with bright colors.”
Zhalya Ismailova: “I was very pleased to perform on the same stage with famous performers. And I am even more happy that I was able to perform in my homeland for the first time, and received great pleasure from it. I hope to receive an invitation again.”
