Durov was detained in Paris on August 27, 2024. On the third day of his detention, while in a police station without communication, he learned from a lawyer about Vavilova’s pregnancy.
He spoke about this in his Telegram channel.
“That day I had another multi-hour interrogation at the police. Between questions, I asked my lawyer if my Yulia would come for questioning. He replied that she was supposed to come, but could not. I pressed him to explain the reason “. “Are you scared? Left Paris?” I asked. He hesitated. “She’s pregnant,” he finally said,” Durov recalled.
Durov’s detention lasted until the next evening, and in his absence “the pressure on Yulia was furious.” On the Internet, she was accused of involvement in the arrest, spreading unsubstantiated rumors, including accusations of connections with Israeli intelligence, Mossad.
“Yulia was strong, but, unlike me, she was not used to hostility. She was not created for war,” he explained.
Julia herself said that her pregnancy was proceeding normally and she was preparing for motherhood. However, on October 4, the doctor told her the terrible news that the fetal heart had stopped beating at 10 weeks of pregnancy.
She remembered how two days ago she visited a doctor and sent Durov crying emoticons from his office.
“I immediately realized that something was wrong with her,” Durov noted.
The operation was performed the next day.
“We managed to cope with so many things at once. But for a little one it was too much,” summed up Yulia.
Earlier, Kursor reported that Pavel Durov said that he would fight “illegal activities” on Telegram.
