In Brandenburg alone, the federal police met around 200 people on Saturday who they were able to identify as refugees from the Ukraine, officials said. On Sunday there were already almost 600 people. These were only people who were noticed during random checks carried out by the federal police in the border area. According to official estimates, the number of people who actually entered the country is likely to be much higher.
