Last July 26, Gojira made history as the first metal band to play at the Olympic Games by performing “Ah, Ça Ira!”, a traditional song related to the French Revolution, in a unique and amazing context. However, their place in the elite of heavy metal has been given for many years.

Their first two records, “Terra Incognita” (2001) and “The Link (2003), established their reputation in the French metal world, together with their dynamic live performances. The boulder, “From Mars To Sirius” (2005), changed their level and the equally stormy, “The Way of All Flesh” (2008), led them to their first US headline tour. From there, Gojira evolved into the … beast we all know!
“L’Enfant Sauvage” (2012) was fierce, brilliantly executed, simply epic! The finale, “Magma” (2016), was a triumph, recorded during a period of mourning for the Duplantier brothers. A true phenomenon of modern groove metal.
The excellent “Fortitude” (2021), their latest studio album, is the most successful of their discus to date, both in Europe and in the USA. A bright disc, as they say themselves, that requires an ecological awakening against what is happening.
