Collector Gayatri Krishnan said that the activities of the Women’s Self Help Group in Thiruvarur district are excellent.
Goal
International Women’s Day Nutrition Awareness Cooking Competition was held on behalf of the Rural Livelihood Movement at the Thiruvarur District Collector’s Office. It was attended by women self help groups operating in 10 areas under Thiruvarur district. Following was the match for the Women’s Self Help Group. District Collector Gayatri Krishnan presented prizes to the winners of the competition.

The activities of the Women’s Self Help Group in Thiruvarur district are excellent. The Government of Tamil Nadu is implementing all the welfare schemes required for the Women’s Self Help Group. In addition, loans are being provided by banks for women self-help group members to become self-employed. Women’s self-help groups should use government welfare schemes to expand their group’s activities.

Prizes for the winners
Following this, the Collector presented prizes to the 3 women’s teams who won the Nutrition Awareness Cooking Competition and to the 3 women’s teams who won the Goal Competition.
