CEI-Greece LIFE-IP Project | Organization of Information Day and Three-Day Workshop on Regional Circular Economy in Peloponnese, 21-23/10

The Green Fund, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (YPEN), the Peloponnese Region, the Municipality of Kalamata, the Peloponnese Solid Waste Management Agency (Fo.DSA) and the Ecological Recycling Association (OEA) jointly organize and invite you. “Information Day also at the Regional Circular Economy Workshop”, from October 21 to 23, 2024, in Kalamata (Kalamata Municipal Spiritual Center – “Pantazopouleios Democratic School”, Room: Kalamata Country Library Reading Room), in the framework of the LIFE Project- IP CEI-Greece – LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Implementation of the Circular Economy in Greece”.

The Project is coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented in collaboration with 19 strategic partners, including the Green Fund and OEA. The ultimate objective of LIFE-IP CEI-Greece is to contribute to the implementation of the National Waste Management Plan, the National Waste Prevention Program and the National Circular Economy Strategy.
More specifically, on 21 October 2024, 12:00-15:20, the Information Day will be held, aimed at the general public, with the aim of presenting the CEI-Greece LIFE-IP Project, highlighting successful circular economy practices. can be implemented in the Peloponnese and a better understanding in general of the issues related to it.
In addition, the Three Day Regional Capacity Building Workshop will be held on 21 October, 16:30-21:00, 22 October, 09:30-15:00 and 23 October 09:30-16:00, and it will be issued in due course. related to analyzing the circular economy, experiential exercises will be applied and examples from the Project partners will be presented. The workshops aim to train all interested parties who are asked to design and implement circular waste management solutions, such as municipalities, industries, SMEs, farmers associations, professional and industrial chambers, tourism associations local, non-governmental organisations, etc.

Please note that OEA will organize a Swap Party on 22 October, 15:00-17:30, where visitors will have the opportunity to bring clothes they no longer need and exchange them for “new” clothes ” is used. The purpose of the activity is to implement circular economy practices, reduce the environmental footprint and information on the environmental and socio-economic effects of textile waste.
