Personnel from the Auxiliary Police (PA) of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) went to the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH) when they were informed of an alleged explosive device within the facilities, located in the Tlalpan mayor’s office.
During a prevention patrol, the uniformed officers were alerted, via radio frequency, about the discovery of an explosive device in the vicinity of said educational facility, located at the intersection of Zapote Street and Periférico Sur, so they went to the scene.

Upon arrival, they were received by the site’s administrative staff, who revealed that through a phone call they were warned of a possible bomb inside the school.
The PA elements activated the corresponding protocols, so they began the evacuation of around 500 people, including students, teachers and administrators.
Once the campus was empty, elements of the Zorros Group of the Metropolitan Police arrived at the scene and conducted tours to locate the explosive; however; They found nothing with the characteristics of a bomb and they left. Civil Protection elements also gathered at the scene.

As a result of the events, the ENAH reported the suspension of classes in the morning hours. Likewise, through a statement, it was announced that after concluding the civil protection protocol, it was concluded that the campus is a safe place, so administrative activities and classes resumed normally in the evening hours.
