Private schools in the province of Córdoba began to notify parents and guardians of initial, primary and secondary level students about enrollment in the establishments for the year 2025. Some schools are registering increases of up to 150% in their enrollment.
In an inflationary context and progressive increases, private school fees are not exempt. With the proximity of starting a new school year, the situation directly affects families with their children in the private education system.
As Perfil learned from the testimonies of parents concerned about education prices, schools that currently have a monthly fee of $55,000 have set a value of $150,000 for next year’s registration fee. These numbers and percentage increases are reflected in schools with even higher fees, as tuition fees of up to $340,000 are recorded.
September inflation: down from 4% in Córdoba, but educational costs exceed national costs
At the beginning of this year, the provincial Ministry of Education reported that 15,700 students went from the private to the public educational system, a figure that has been increasing in recent years. Another situation that occurred was that 15% of those who attend high-value schools decided to migrate to institutions with lower fees.
Although the provincial headquarters of the Argentine Union of Private Teachers (SADOP) did not report an average increase in schools, families are already beginning to think about how to face the escalation of prices, with the same educational establishments offering the possibility of paying registration fee in installments.
