During this meeting, held on the sidelines of Mr. Bensaid’s participation in the High-Level Forum on Youth, Peace and Security which opened today in Amman, the two parties underlined the solidity of historic relations linking the two brotherly Kingdoms and peoples, and the distinguished fraternal and friendly relationship uniting His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his brother HM King Abdallah Ibn Al Hussein.
The discussions, which took place at the Al Hussein Cultural Center in Amman, focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the cultural field, particularly the cultural and creative industries, established by Morocco as a major project in the framework of the cultural economy.
The two officials also discussed the diversification of partnerships and the exchange of expertise, ideas and experiences, particularly in terms of permanent coordination between Morocco and Jordan within regional and international institutions, in addition to strengthening their coordination. to ensure a strong and effective presence of the two countries in festivals and cultural events both in Morocco and Jordan. The two parties have, at the same time, agreed to finalize the last stages of improvement of the bilateral executive program in the cultural field.
During this meeting, which took place in the presence of Mr. Bensaid’s chief of staff, the charge d’affaires at the Moroccan Embassy in Jordan, Adil Oussi Hammou, the director of the Jarach festival and cultural officials from two countries, the minister highlighted the cultural potential that Morocco and Jordan abound, which should be promoted within the framework of an active and practical partnership, through the combination of their efforts and programs and the intensification of openness and bilateral cultural exchanges.
For her part, the Jordanian minister praised the distinguished relations between the two countries, which “go beyond the political framework, to include in particular the fraternal, spiritual and human dimensions.”
Welcoming the Moroccan experience in the field of cultural development, through the establishment of solid bases capable of consolidating the economic and developmental dimension of culture, and the promotion of cultural identity, Ms. Al Najjar highlighted before the ancestral historical and civilizational wealth of Morocco, which “gave a strong impetus to this experience and made it possible to achieve remarkable results”.
She also expressed her admiration for the efforts made by Morocco to guarantee the development of its cultural sector and the projects undertaken in this direction, aimed at the democratization of access to culture and the integration of the dimension economic in this area.
