There will be a bonus system in the transport sector of the capital. At a meeting today, we introduced the unions to our proposal, which is in fulfillment of the agreements we made earlier in the year to introduce such a system in the fall of 2024. This was announced by the capital’s mayor, Vasil Terziev, at a briefing.
According to him, by the middle of next week, the trade union organizations must familiarize their members with the proposals and the agreement will be signed, which will calm the system.
The Deputy Mayor Iliyan Pavlov explained that the bonus system is composed in a way that it is tied to the minimum wage. According to him, the bonus system will cost about BGN 15 million for next year, reports BNT.
Workers in the capital’s electrical and motor transport companies protested a few days ago in front of the Capital Municipality.
The main reason for the protest, according to the statement sent to the media, was the non-implementation of the signed agreement.
They demanded a fair bonus system to be introduced from the beginning of October, not from the beginning of next year.
Thus, according to the dissatisfied, a subsequent increase in basic wages will be substituted.
