Until October 6, 2024, more than 25.6 million kilograms of import and export have been moved at the Air Cargo Terminal, compared to the same period in 2023, that is, an increase of 25%.
While, in the Port of Acajutla, from January 1 to October 6, 2024, more than 4.1 million metric tons of imports and exports have been mobilized.
It should be noted that the El Salvador International Airport has received more than 4 million passengers so far in 2024, setting a new record in serving arrival, departure and connection travelers. This significant 22% increase in passenger flow not only reflects the country’s growing connectivity, but also the strengthening of the tourism sector and foreign investment.
In addition, attention to passenger flights has increased by 13% compared to last year. From January 1 to October 6, 2024, the airport has handled more than 35,600 passenger flight operations, this reflects the experience and efficiency of the airport operational staff to provide travelers with a safer and more pleasant travel experience.
