As Day.Az reported on Tuesday, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan spoke during the event Samir MammadovChairman of the Board of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Inara Velieva and other persons.

As Samir Mamedov said, by the end of this year it is planned to transfer 15 percent of services provided to citizens in physical format to digital.

“With ‘mygov’, citizens can access, update their personal data, keep track of important notifications and automate processes related to life events in just a few clicks. This contributes to the development of a more transparent and convenient digital ecosystem, eliminating the need to visit offices and complex paperwork. In accordance with our goals, we plan to transfer 15 percent of services provided to citizens in physical format to digital by the end of the year,” he said.

In addition, Mamedov noted that currently more than 1,700 organizations are integrated into the Digital Document Management (RSD) system.

“As the COP29 chair country, Azerbaijan pays special attention to the implementation of sustainable and innovative digital solutions. One of such solutions was the Digital Document Management (RSD) submodule, which significantly increases the efficiency of processes and reduces the negative impact on the environment. The use of RSD allows government agencies to saving more than 500 thousand sheets of paper, which is equivalent to saving about 2 thousand trees per year. Currently, more than 1,700 organizations are integrated into the system, which emphasizes its importance and success within the framework of government digitalization,” he said.

Inara Velieva, in turn, noted that it is important that “mygov” does not become a monopoly.

“The word “sustainability” has become so commonplace recently that literally everyone uses it, especially in these difficult times. But what does sustainability really mean to us? In an environment of constantly changing technologies and needs, sustainability is the ability of a platform to adapt and function When we started this project, we were faced with the task of creating a technological framework that could work effectively in the future,” she said.

According to her, it is necessary to ensure that “mygov” is not a monopoly.

“It is important that citizens can use services on any platform convenient for them that has passed the necessary checks. For us, sustainability is not just the development of a platform dependent on the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, but independent and long-term growth. The second important principle is cooperation. The “mygov” platform is only the visible part of the iceberg,” Veliyeva emphasized.

And Ryashad Khalygov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development under the Ministry of Transport and Digital Development of Azerbaijan, added that the updated version of the “mygov” platform has significantly simplified the process of documenting important life events.

“The updated version of the platform has significantly simplified the process of documenting important life events, such as marriage, the birth of children and the death of close relatives. Now the documents necessary for marriage can be submitted in digital format, registration of newborns is available online, and the fact of the death of a relative can also be recorded via platform. The “my data” section of the “mygov” app stores more than 40 different information records, including digital versions of documents such as ID, marriage, birth and death certificates. Users can share these documents and information in QR code or. PDF. In addition, the application allows you to track the history of data sharing, see when and with which institutions the information was shared. It also provides the ability to manage permissions to access personal data requested by various government agencies,” he said.
