26 people were killed as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted a school housing displaced people west of the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, while five people from the Al-Amour family (two men and three children, including an infant) were killed in a bombing that targeted the Al-Fokhari area east of the city of Khan Yunis.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip said in a statement, “The occupation army committed a terrible massacre by bombing the Rufaydah School for displaced persons in Deir al-Balah, killing 26 martyrs and more than 92 wounded, the majority of whom were children and women,” stressing that “this school includes thousands of displaced children and women who were displaced from their homes.” Their homes and civilian neighborhoods were bombed, and he chose the time of the bombing at the peak time of movement of these children and women to obtain their daily food.”

He stated, “This massacre brings the number of shelter and displacement centers bombed by the Israeli occupation to 190 displacement and shelter centers, and this new crime comes in conjunction with the difficult health situation in the Central Governorate, which is currently inhabited by more than a million people.”

The office called on all countries of the world to “condemn these ongoing crimes against the displaced, against civilians, and against children and women,” holding “the Israeli occupation and the American administration fully responsible for the continuation of the crime of genocide and the continuation of committing these massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip.”
