In it we see the heroine Lily Collins living in Rome, and although we do not know if this will continue in the next season, the fans of the series are divided. Some people were excited to see Emily Cooper embark on her adventures against the backdrop of the Eternal City while others were already homesick for Paris. Emmanuel Macron seems to belong to the second category and even takes it a step further. The French president decided to take a public position and said that the country will “fight hard” to prevent the series from being moved to the Italian capital.
“We ask them to stay in Paris, Emily in Paris in Rome makes no sense,” Emmanuel Macron told Variety in an interview published on Wednesday. The French politician had every reason to see the latest cycle of Emily in Paris since his wife Brigitte made a guest in one of the episodes.
