Gabrovo hosted a major BFLA coaching seminar

The Bulgarian Athletics Federation (BFA) together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MMS) and with the active support of the Vasil Levski National Athletic Association and N.I. Pirogov UMBALSM organized a seminar in Gamboro to increase the coaching qualification in the disciplines from group ” sprint and steeplechase”.

During the event, 5 topics were presented and discussed, including various aspects regarding the modern trends in the preparation and competitive realization of the athletes in the disciplines of the “sprint and steeplechase” group, as well as the prevention of trauma in these disciplines. The lecturers were the proven Bulgarian coaches Valya Demireva, Dimitar Karamfilov, Iliyan Pishchikov, as well as Associate Professor Eng. Pirogov”, and Dr. Natalia Krasteva. The moderator was Diyan Drashkov, sports director of the BFLA.

More than 50 coaches from all over the country took part in the seminar, which was held with great interest, and in addition to receiving valuable information about modern practices and new aspects regarding the preparation and realization of the athletes, they were also enriched by the shared experience of the lecturers accumulated over the years.
