Speaking during this meeting, held at the headquarters of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, and chaired by the Pasha, president of the district of Tangier city, Mustapha El Hassar, on behalf of the Wali of the region, the head of the Social Action Division (DAS) in the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, Mohamed Ameziane, stressed that the success of youth projects and the promotion of entrepreneurship require support, monitoring and continuing education.
Mr. Ameziane noted that the participatory implementation of the projects of the third phase of the INDH relating to the social and solidarity economy made it possible to record significant achievements at the level of the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, highlighting the success of 203 projects supported for the benefit of young people, women, self-employed people and cooperatives.
He affirmed that the realization of INDH projects is dependent on the continued support of specialized institutions, including professional chambers, training and skills promotion establishments, and national programs in this area.
For his part, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, Abdellatif Afilal, stressed that the sustainability of these projects, which aim to fight against poverty and precariousness and to promote the social and solidarity economy, requires developing the entrepreneurial spirit among young people and providing support before and after creation.
For his part, the regional director of the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC), Yassine Chahid, assured that partnership and solidarity between the different stakeholders, as well as training and continuing education , and the promotion of the entrepreneurial spirit and taking initiatives, constitute the key to the success of young entrepreneurs’ projects, which must be based on realistic and solid economic foundations.
As for the regional coordinator of the Social Development Agency (ADS), Houssein Hadioui, he estimated that young project leaders should seize all the opportunities offered by government programs, and those of training in the field of management of businesses, in order to succeed in their projects, noting that the success of young people’s businesses constitutes one of the main indicators of social development.
The regional director of the Office for the Development of Cooperation (ODCO), Jamal Nouas, for his part, observed that cooperatives, particularly those of young people and women, are businesses capable of giving added value to the national economy, noting that 3,800 cooperatives operate in the region, a figure which is expected to increase, if the cooperatives are structured effectively, while benefiting from national programs in this area.
For the president of the Tanja Moubadara association, Aziz Akalay, the promotion of the economic and social situation of young people is not a luxury, but must be considered as the essential lever of balanced and sustainable development, in accordance with the objectives of the INDH, focusing on the importance of training at the technical, financial, administrative and commercial levels in strengthening the contribution of cooperatives to the promotion of employment and regional economic dynamics.
According to a presentation note of the meeting, the Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) in the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah has financed, since 2019 until this month of September, 106 projects as part of the support axis for the social and solidarity economy.
This communication meeting, which took place in the presence of 90 people representing the beneficiary cooperatives, is part of the monitoring and support program for project leaders financed within the framework of the support axis for social and solidarity economy.
Training workshops will also be organized, in addition to supporting project leaders, in order to strengthen their capacities and develop their ideas in the areas of digital marketing, administrative management and communication techniques.
