On the stage of the small hall of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic named after D.D. Shostakovich hosted an anniversary vocal evening of the Azerbaijani opera singer, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Elnara Mamedova.

At the piano was the accompanist of the Mariinsky Theater Elena Samarina, and Elnara Mamedova’s colleagues in duets were the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, the golden voice of Tatarstan Yaramir Nizamutdinov and the mezzo-soprano Yana Melikaeva, beloved in Azerbaijan.
Elnara Mamedova shared her impressions of the past event with AZERTAC.
“My impressions are unforgettable! I was greeted amazingly. The audience in St. Petersburg is very strict – it’s not for nothing that this is the cultural capital of Russia. I didn’t expect such a response – the audience came up to me after the performance, thanked me for the concert. The tickets were sold out, we had a full house. The repertoire was great very diverse. It was a wonderful collaboration with our Russian colleagues. We have known Yana Melikaeva for a long time, and we met Yaramir Nizamutdinov recently. These are wonderful artists, I was glad to collaborate with them,” the vocalist emphasized.
