Will Smith e Michael B. Jordan protagonists (and producers) of I know thatl of “I’m legend”written by Akiva Goldsman for Warner Bros. Smith shared a teaser photo alluding to the partnership after the news and tagged Jordan in the post. The Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman adapted Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel for the original film 2007one of the iconic roles of Smith’s career, and returns to write the sequel. The details on the sequel, including the plot and who will direct, they are not still been disclosed since the project is still in development phase. In the film directed by Francis Lawrence, Will Smith played the role of virologist Robert Neville, the only one survived in New York to a virus that turns humans into mutants thirsty for blood, and follows him as he struggles to find a cure. The film was a blockbuster at the national box office, with a tally of 77 million dollarsand beyond 585 million of dollars earned around the world.
News of the collaboration with Jordan comes as Smith grapples with one of the greats awards of his career for his performance in “A Winning Family – King Richard”role he is running for on Oscar night as Best Actor in a Leading Role – the film is also nominated for six Academy Awards. Smith is also celebrating the launch of “Bel Air”update of his iconic TV series “Willy, the Prince of Bel-Air”as well as the completion of filming in his next starring role, «Emancipation». The thriller, directed by Antoine Fuqua, was sold to Apple TV Plus for 120 million dollars.
