According to data from the Social Action Division (DAS) of the prefecture of the province of El Jadida, the number of these classrooms set up is distributed between 27 rooms which benefited 1,933 children in 2019 (with 27 educators), and 91 rooms for the benefit of 2,909 beneficiaries in 2020 (91 educators).
On the other hand, 105 rooms were created for the benefit of 2,226 beneficiaries for the year 2021 (105 educators), in addition to 39 classrooms in 2022 (39 educators).
In this sense, Mohamed Lahboub, head of the DAS, underlined in a statement to MAP that these achievements are managed by the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of Preschool Education, through the recruitment of 262 educators within the framework of the 2019-2022 program contract, specifying that this support was spread over the last four.
Mr. Lahboub further noted that the support program for preschool education within the framework of the INDH aims to promote the human development of rising generations, given that preschool education constitutes an essential step in the development of children’s individual abilities due to its obvious impact on the child’s cognitive, social and emotional abilities and their academic career.
Preschool education, indicates the head of the DAS, contributes to improving the level of human capital and increasing the average duration of schooling, which constitutes a major component of the human development index.
And to add that the INDH has drawn up, during its third phase 2019-2023, a clear roadmap for integration and convergence with the rest of the sectoral programs in this area.
