New Delhi: There is a provision for compensation in case of loss of life or disability in a road accident. There are Motor Accident Claims Tribunals (MACT) in every district of the country. Many people do not know about this. In such a situation, the victim himself or his family members are not able to apply for this compensation. The investigating officer comes, who does the work of registering the case, presenting the challan in the court and presenting the concerned parties before the tribunal. In the process, almost all the formalities are completed for the victim by the police itself, which makes it easier to get the claim.
