After the India-Pakistan match in the Women’s Cricket World Cup, everyone’s attention was drawn to a baby !. Though Pakistan lost to India by 107 runs, Fatima, the daughter of Pakistan captain Bisma Maroof, was the center of attention. Scenes of Indian actresses hugging Fatima are now going viral on social media.

Bisma told reporters after Pakistan’s defeat in the match that her seven – month – old daughter was in the arms of Indian cricketer Ekta Bisht. The scenes of Indian players playing with the baby and taking selfies were much discussed. Bisma Maroof’s pictures of herself with a baby in one hand and a cricket kit in the other were rife on social media.

Bisma Maroof gave birth on August 30 last year. Bisma had made it clear that after that it was decided that there would be no more life on the cricket ground. But it was the support of her mother and husband that brought her back to the game. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed with Bisma on the parental support policy.
