AIADMK secretary Ponnayan said the volunteers did not accept Sasikala and that the AIADMK did not want his visit.

AIADMK leaders in a few districts have called for Sasikala’s return to the AIADMK due to the AIADMK’s defeat, but the AIADMK leadership’s failure to comment has caused confusion among volunteers. The AIADMK has lost all the 4 elections it has contested since Jayalalithaa’s death. This has caused a great deal of frustration among AIADMK volunteers. Therefore, they claim that the dual leadership has suffered a series of failures and that the AIADMK needs a single leadership to recover from this failure. A few AIADMK executives have suggested that Sasikala would be the right choice. The Theni district AIADMK passed a resolution to include Sasikala in the AIADMK. The AIADMK leadership, which was silent on this, has expelled O. Panneer Selvam’s brother O. Raja from the party after meeting Sasikala in person and making a request. This has caused confusion among AIADMK executives.
AIADMK secretary Ponnaiyan has commented on the question of Sasikala joining the AIADMK. He said the AIADMK was under military control and that former minister Anwar Raja had been expelled from the party for violating party rules. AIADMK co-ordinator O. Panneer Selvam’s brother O. Raja has also been relieved of all responsibilities, including basic membership, for meeting Sasikala in a similar manner. He said the restriction was an example for the AIADMK to continue with the restrictions imposed by the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. He also said that he had nothing to do with the meeting held by Theni district administrators and O. Panneer Selvam, adding that Sasikala was not accepted by O. Panneer Selvam forever. Ponnaiyan also stated that Sasikala considered O. Panneer’s wealth to be his biggest enemy.
He said that Sasikala was a zero and the volunteers did not accept him at all, adding that a commission of inquiry was set up to find out that Sasikala was the cause of Jayalalithaa’s death. Therefore, Sasikala was not accepted by the AIADMK General Committee and Executive Committee. Similarly, the OBS-EPSM did not accept Sasikala at all. So it seems that the expectation of a few volunteers that Sasikala will rejoin the AIADMK will remain the same. At the same time they will say that there is no permanent friend and no permanent enemy in politics. Just want to see from the standpoint
