“Licorice Pizza” is set in 1973 and tells the difficulties of the first love between Alana and Gary who grow up, run and fall in love in the San Fernando Valley. In this story in pictures accompanied by never forgotten songs by David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Nina Simone, The Doors, Anderson wanted a stellar cast at his side: they keep company with the very young and charismatic debutants Alana Haim (guitarist of the band Haim) and Cooper Hoffman (son of the never too late Philip Seymour), in memorable cameo roles, two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn (“Mystic River,” “Milk”), actor and director Bradley Cooper (“A star is born”, ” American Sniper »,« American Hustle »,« The bright side »), Tom Waits and Benny Safdie.
