Maps all development processes, without slowing you down

It is likely that if your organization develops something, your security teams work day and night to adapt all the dozens of different tools to the development processes – and this is no small nightmare. You use more and more development languages, rely more on third-party technologies, and use quite a few automated processes. While this makes you more efficient, your security team is not enough to keep up, and when it is not enough to do so, hackers enter the picture with supply chain and development attacks as in the Solarwinds case.

In conversation with Giktiim Guy Fletcher, CEO and co-founder of Cider, explains that the platform developed by the company allows security teams to get a complete picture of all the technologies, systems and processes that exist in the organization’s development environment from the code construction stage to production. According to him, the uniqueness of the company stems from the fact that organizations of all sizes can use it within a few minutes without slowing down the development processes.

Ok, but how is your product different from products like those of Aqua, Checkmarx or Snyk for example?

Flechtcher: “The system allows information security teams to use all the same tools in a way that on the one hand best suits the unique technological characteristics of the organizations, and on the other hand in a way that creates as little tension between information security teams and development bodies around the implementation of those tools. Only in a reality where information security teams can manage their application security activities from one centralized location, can organizations feel confident in their ability to enhance development capabilities, without having to compromise on the level of information security or development speeds. ”

Cider Security was founded in 2020 by Guy Fletcher, former director of information security at AppsFlyer, and Daniel Kribelevich. The company employs about 60 people in its offices. Among the companies already on the company’s customer lists are Rapyd, Riskified, AppsFlyer, Guesty, Lemonade and about 40 other customers.
