Riva del Garda is preparing to live an unforgettable experience with the first edition of «In City Golf Riva del Garda presented by Lido Palace» scheduled for Saturday 19 October.
In Golf City the best cities in Italy, and beyond, can be transformed into golf courses: urban environments and scenic views become the perfect setting for a great golf tournament, where every hole is an experience unique and original. The format that comes to life on Saturday 19 October includes nine different holes scattered among the most prominent places in the town on the shores of the lake, the pearl of Garda Trentino. Each hole highlights a different partner of the event and highlights the beauty of Riva del Garda with great originality and creative inspiration. From the headquarters of the Lido Palace to the squares and main streets of the village, In City Golf will be an unexpected journey to discover Riva del Garda in the company of the sport.
Lido Palace, Trentino and Valentini Luxury Spirits will promote the nine holes. Cassa Rurale AltoGarda-Rovereto, Engel & Völkers and Southwest Greens will also come alive, immersing golfers and curious people of all ages in the heart of Riva del Garda. There will be no shortage of “tourist” holes in the Ski Area Apt Garda Dolomiti and Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta, nor the presence of Internorm. In the heart of Riva del Garda the “PH” or Public Hole will also be set up, a hole open to all to entertain passers-by and allow spectators to experience some shots of the “swing” related to golf, with the Riva Event of the South Tyrone tractor which will be able to involve advanced golfers and the general public. Enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts, both young and old, will be able to try clubs and balls and take part in a one-of-a-kind event.
Each competitor will be able to participate according to their own habits with the usual bag or carrying bag in which there will be at least ten and at most fourteen clubs played. During the tournament, special lightweight softballs will be used, as a challenge that does not make competition its foundation, but celebrates golf and its strong ability to entertain and involve everyone.
The program for Saturday 19th includes a gathering at 110am for brunch at the Club House of the Lido Palace, and the tournament will begin at 12pm “Celebrating Golf” in Riva del Garda with a rich feast, again in the wonderful setting of the Lido Palace Club House, followed by the award ceremony.
